Snowmass Base Village
Snowmass Base Village is an ambitious and extensive 10-year development project by EastWest Partners designed to create a vibrant, world-class community at the base of the Snowmass Ski Area with lodging, residences, retail and amenities that celebrate the surrounding landscape and mountain lifestyle. EastWest engaged Cultivator to partner with them on the creation of the Snowmass Base Village brand identity and all marketing and advertising efforts to support new residence sales, including the website. The website was designed to tell the story of Base Village living, while providing prospective buyers with an easy, but inspiring, path to explore residence details.
Devil’s Thumb Ranch
Devil’s Thumb Ranch offers a luxurious destination resort experience in the Colorado High Country. When we developed their website we set out to raise the bar on their luxury story, providing a more compelling narrative for the exceptional Colorado adventures and service for which they are famous. At the same time, we needed to create a more elegant and intuitive user interface to explore the many facets of the resort—from lodging and adventures to dining and service. The site also had to accommodate the unique needs of both independent travelers and group/meeting planners, which represents a significant component of their business. Finally, the site needed to celebrate the many diverse seasonal experiences they offer. The resulting website delivers a brand experience and tone that aligns perfectly with the premium character of the resort.
The Telluride Tourism Board’s website was out-of-date. At five years old, it suffered from outdated technology that couldn’t keep up with the technology of its audience. The website wasn’t responsivelacked relevance and didn’t give visitors ways to share its content. The experience failed to guide the guest through the consideration and activation process. For Telluride, all of this translated into considerable missed opportunity. Following the old formula for destination marketing websites, the previous website had been built on a directory platform. For a destination as majestic and iconic as Telluride, it fell flat. The three primary drivers behind the move to the next generation website were mobile optimization, social enablement and content personalization. Once the website addressed these gaps, it was be able to do the number one thing it was meant to: inspire.
Origin is a new national hotel brand whose first property, Origin Hotel Red Rocks (opened in Colorado in 2019), now serves as the official hotel of Red Rocks Amphitheater. The Origin website was initially designed with a single location, but has since scaled to include 4 locations (and growing). The vision for the Origin brand was to create a modern, technology-forward guest experience designed to maximize ease and convenience throughout the entire customer journey. We were able to bring this to life on the website using a mobile-first approach, with the user experience optimized for travelers on the ground and on the go. Mobile brings high traffic volume and strong engagement with over half of all visits and more than a quarter of all bookings.
Oboz Footwear is a boutique outdoor brand based in Bozeman that is all about the mountain lifestyle and the quality footwear to capably take you there. They are also one of REI’s most successful category brands. With the launch of their new website, we re-imagined their product presentation and search, giving users the ability to efficiently explore their collections by usage, type, model and benefit, as well as present core brand attributes like their technical fit system in an easy-to-understand way. Finally, bringing to life their community and ambassador programs lent credence to the legitimacy of their product at use on trails everywhere.
Before working on the website, the Cultivator team redesigned the identity for Colorado Wine and created a brand campaign designed to appeal to both locals and tourists. The new website was then designed to help lend additional credibility to the Colorado Wine industry while also supporting the needs of the Wine Industry Development Board. The site allows each of the individual wineries to maintain their own listings and has become a key component of the overall marketing strategy, used to promote events and provide content to consumers looking to learn more about Colorado Wine and the individual wineries.
Moots Bicycles is a high-end bike manufacturer based in Steamboat. The brand has long held true to the spirit of the Rockies and the hard-working character of Steamboat Springs. Each frame is crafted by hand, for proud owners across the globe. When we built the website, we set out to accomplish three key goals. The first, to present their passion for craft and the process each bike goes through, in an elegant and engaging way. The second, to create an innovative way to display products, allowing customers to navigate through their various bike designs by interest and user type, and dive into the many specifications and other technical product details. And, finally, we wanted to capture the tribal aspects of their community and showcase the many passionate and loyal customers that the brand has maintained over their 25 years.
